Foundation's Initiatives

Our approach to restoration is grounded in respecting Earth’s natural systems. We aim to restore balance by planting native forests, not just individual trees, using the Miyawaki method on agricultural lands. This technique ensures rapid growth of biodiverse ecosystems that support a multitude of species.

Why agriculture land? In different countries between 30-70% of land is controlled by farmers, which gives us a unique opportunity to reclaim degraded land and bring back the biodiversity it once held. When native forests return, the interconnected web of life – from birds to insects to mammals – can thrive once again. They also enrich the soil, regulate water, and improve farm productivity, increasing yields and strengthening farmer livelihoods.

To ensure farmers never lose out, we go beyond reforestation and actively promote agroforestry – planting productive trees alongside native forests. These trees provide fruits, nuts, timber, and other income-generating resources, ensuring that farmer livelihoods are not just maintained but improved. Where farmers prefer not to have productive trees, we provide them with a fair lease price instead. In fact, the forests bring an added benefit: by supporting pollinators like bees and other insects, overall farm productivity actually goes up.

The Miyawaki method helps forests grow ten times faster and sustain themselves with minimal intervention. They also sequester up to 30× more carbon than conventional monoculture tree plantations, making them one of the most effective natural climate solutions available. With every new forest, we bring back the richness and balance of nature, one piece at a time.

🌱 Impact at a Glance:

🌾 Farmer-first approach – we restore only as much land as keeps farm income net positive

🌳 Agroforestry in action – productive trees planted alongside forests provide sustainable income

Rapid growth – forests grow 10× faster than conventional plantations, reaching maturity quickly

🌍 Climate impact – Miyawaki forests capture up to 30× more carbon than monocultures

🐝 Boosted productivity – biodiversity attracts pollinators, increasing farm yields

How We

Spend Our Funds

We are committed to ensuring that the maximum possible share of all funds received is directed toward reforestation and planet restoration efforts. We maintain strict limits on operating costs, which will not exceed 20% of total revenue. To support this, we continually strive for operational efficiency, minimising expenditure on salaries, marketing, travel, technology, office space, professional services and other relevant expenditure.
